| "Scuba diving" island of Dominica |
| Scuba diving
and snorkelling
Elected one of the ten best sites in the world of diving magazines, Dominica
keeps its promises.
The west coast of the island offers the best sites with its calm waters,
but around the Marine Reserve of Soufriere / Scott 's Head you will find
the most beautiful site.
A submerged volcano crater 800m from the shore with precipices ranging
from 240 to 450m deep and 30m visibility.
The fish Boga, of Creole Wrasse, commissions Bleus are common and you
will surely see even a ray or a Moray Honeycomb Cowfish.
The crinoids are rare elsewhere, are here as well as the abundant sponges
Barrel.
This is the realm of macro submarine.
There are other reputable sites outside the reserve.
You can easily find a list of the ten best sites of Dominica. Almost all
are accessible to beginners.

Water Sports
The eyes of the people shine when they tell you that their country has
365 rivers. And it is easy to believe because the water flows around the
island.
In this land of rivers, a favorite pastime of children is on the banks
of rivers.
Tour operators offer today experience a descent of the river buoy
Layou, the longest of Dominica.
A 40 minute drive from the city and a short distance along the bank of
the river, guides equip you with life jackets and paddles before you slip
into a large buoy with a wooden seat.
They follow you along the fast by helping you for browsing.
During the descent of an hour, the river reveals the spectacular cliffs
and enchanting forest that surrounds it. After the descent, you are so
wet that you enjoy swimming in the fresh waters of the mouth of the river
that was the end of the adventure.
