Comfortel De Champ is located in the village Picard in the North-West
of Dominica, about 1.5 miles south of Portsmouth, the 2nd largest city
of the island - well, large city... :-)
The West-side of Dominica lies on the Caribbean Sea. It's the warmer and
a bit dryer side of the island but because Picard lies on the foot of
the highest mountain of the island, Morne Diablotin of almost 5000 feet,
there is often a refreshing tropical shower.
Both airports of Dominica are at about 45 minutes by car and it is most
likely that you will arrive at Melville Hall Airport. I If you wish, we
will come and pick you up or we can arrange that a rental car will be
waiting there for you. DRIVE LEFT!!

Comfortel De Champ lies on a hill, about a 180 feet high, and offers
a stunning view over Prince Rupert Bay, the hills of Cabrits, Portsmouth
and its' surroundings, and on a clear day you can see the island Guadeloupe.

5 double rooms, non-smoking, 2 at garden leveland 3 on the first
floor. Breakfast-, and lunch-room , sunset-bar daily from 5 to 9 with
stunning view, pick-up and return from/to airports and ferry (rates
apply), luggage store-room when making island-tours. |

2 rooms at garden level
These rooms with a non-traditional design are about 230 sqft, they have
a terrace of some 90 sqft and have direct acces to our nice garden with
winding foothpaths. |

3 rooms at the first floor
These spacious rooms of 260 sqft with some 75 sqft of terrace have an
even better sea view then the rooms at the garden level. One of these
3 rooms offers the possibility of placing an extra bed for a child. See

More details regarding the
rooms:
The garden rooms have queen-size beds and the first floor rooms
have king-size beds. All rooms have both airco and a 5-speed ceiling
fan. All windows and the door have mosquito screens, unbreakable glass
and first class locks. If you bring your notebook you will have free
wifi in the whole building. In the rooms you will have a small desk,
2 chairs, sufficient wardrobe space and very pleasant lightning.

Every room has a personal
safe that's free of charge.
The 20 inch LCD-TV has not only the local channels but also a large number
of international English channels including various sports channels.
The rooms also have a small refrigerator; it will have cold drinks ready
to consume (rates apply) or you can get your own drinks from the local
shops. Every room has a water cooker plus tea bags and instant coffee
which are included in the room rate. |
